Brava hosts V National Meeting of Sports and Youth Councilors
The island of Brava will host on Tuesday and Wednesday the V National Meeting of Councilors for Sport and Youth, where the new guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) for physical activity will be presented, the Government announced today.
During the meeting, the main players and specialists in the area will address important issues, with emphasis on the presentation of the technical regulation for the concession and construction of sports infrastructures, the new WHO guidelines for physical activity and the perspective of municipalities in relation to to physical activity.
In a press release, the Government's Communication and Image Office explains that the event will also serve to present the Results of the 1st General Census of Sport, where essential data on the current state of sport in the country will be presented.
Participants will also have the opportunity to analyze and discuss the Regional and National Forums 2024, the Youth Association Financing Program (PROFAJ) and MobiJovem.
For the Government, this is a fundamental meeting for the promotion and discussion of crucial themes related to sport and youth, for which it considers it essential to create an effective collaboration between all players in the sports sector, as well as the establishment of solid partnerships between public and private institutions.
The meeting will take place at Eugénio Tavares Secondary School and will be chaired by the presidents of the Institute of Sports and Youth (IDJ), José Eduardo dos Santos, and of the Brava City Council, Francisco Tavares.
